Arlington Police Identify Suspect in Stabbing

shawntez reeseARLINGTON, Va. -The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit has identified a suspect in an aggravated malicious wounding that occurred on June 21, 2009. A felony warrant for Aggravated Malicious Wounding has been issued for 31 year old Shawntez Isiah Reese.

On June 21, at 12:45 p.m., a man was dropped off at an area hospital with serious injuries including a stab wound. Investigation later revealed that Mr. Reese approached the victim at a house in the 2000 block of South Kenmore Street earlier in the day, and stabbed him before fleeing.

If you see Mr. Reese, do not approach him. You should immediately call 9-1-1. Witnesses can also call Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers offers a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Callers to Crime Solvers do not have to give th eir names and do not need to testify in court.
