Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust Company has appointed W. Scott McSween as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective July 13, 2009.
Mr. McSween joins the Bank following 12 years as Executive Vice President of the Retail Banking Division at Chevy Chase Bank, which was acquired by Capital One Financial Corporation earlier this year. Mr. McSween joined Chevy Chase Bank following 20 years at BayBanks. E. Hunt Burke, until now the President and COO, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.
