Congratulations to Dr. Ralph Perrino of the NVA Tutoring Service who will be one of eight individuals honored with an Arlington County Community Hero Award at 11:30 am on Neighborhood Day May 16 at Ballston Common Mall.

The Awards are presented on behalf of Ballston Common Mall, the Arlington Sun Gazette, Arlington United Way and E*Trade Bank, in collaboration with the Arlington Community Foundation and Arlington County government.

 

VA-Commerce-RibbonThe new Virginia Commerce Bank held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its Falls Church branch with the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Virginia Family Service on Tues, April 28. The Falls Church Chamber of Commerce has been invited to join the Vienna Tysons Chamber for a speed networking breakfast on Wednesday, May 20 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Vienna Presbyterian Church. Speakers for the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce’s May 19 luncheon have been confirmed. Speaking at the event will be News-Press Richmond Report columnists Virginia Senator Mary Margaret Whipple, Delegate Bob Hull and Delegate Jim. Scott.  The luncheon will be held at the Italian Café in Falls Church and is being co-hosted by the Greater Merrifield Business Association, so a full house is expected. Reservations are required, contact the Chamber at 703-532-1050 to secure your seat.

Sunrise of Falls Church is hosting a reception for business leaders who provide services to seniors from 4:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 20.
