Harlem Magic Charms Falls Church

ONCE AGAIN, THE FALLS CHURCH Celebrity All-Stars came within a hair’s breadth of upsetting the Harlem Magic Masters entertainment basketball team at the F.C. Community Center last Friday night. As part of the celebration of Black History Month, F.C.’s Tinner Hill Foundation, led by Nikki and Ed Henderson organized the fourth annual event. This time, the F.C. stars included Council members Hal Lippman, Dan Maller and Lawrence Webb, along with City Manager Wyatt Shields and City Attorney John Foster, and graduating George Mason High hoops star Joel Chandler, shown dunking in the center photo. Awards were presented at halftime (a list of winners to be provided next week). (Photos: News-Press and Gary Mester)
