For the Week of January 13 – 19, 2009

Burglary, Residential, 1000 blk. Madison Lane., January 13, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:08 p.m., unknown person(s) broke inside an unoccupied residence by shattering the glass on a rear door. Nothing was taken from the residence.

Larceny, Pocket Picking, Giant Foods, 1230 W Broad St., January 14, 2:59 p.m., unknown person(s) stole victim’s wallet from a purse while shopping inside the establishment.

Driving under the Influence, 1000 blk. W Broad St., January 14, 7:05 p.m., police arrested a male, 42, of Falls Church, VA for DUI.

Larceny, Shoplifting, Staples, 1104 W Broad St., January 17, 1:26 p.m., unknown person(s) entered the establishment and stole (2) backpacks filling it with an undisclosed amount of merchandise. Incident to the case, one of the backpacks was recovered. It contained approximately $1784.79 worth of software programs. Suspect #1 is described as a B/M, 5`06″- 5` 07″, heavy build, mid 20`s, short scruffy beard, wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black knit cap; and Suspect #2 is described as a B/M, 5`04″- 5`05″ thin-average build, mid20`s, wearing black jacket, black pants, black baseball cap.

Drug/Narcotic Violation, 6700 blk. Wilson Blvd., January 17, 11:49 p.m., police arrested a male, 34, of Lepeuente, CA for Possession of Cocaine, DIP, and Urinating in Public.

Drug/Narcotic Violation, 400 blk. W Broad St., January 19, 2:01 a.m., police arrested a male., 22, of Arlington, VA for Possession of Marijuana and DUI.

Tampering with Auto, 1300 Seaton Lane, January 19, 12:04 p.m., unknown person(s) is letting the air out of the tires of the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny, Shoplifting, CVS, 1150 W Broad St., January 19, 4:08 p.m., unknown person(s) entered the establishment and stole $87.97 worth of Gillette Fusion products. The suspect is described as a W/M, short brown hair, clean-shaven, wearing a blue button down shirt, white hooded sweatshirt and black jacket (with a red stripe across the chest and down the sleeves).
