Mason Boys Lax Hits 6-0

The George Mason Mustangs boys varsity lacrosse team continued their red-hot start last week after having their game against Park View last Thursday postponed. On Monday night, the Mustangs headed to Dominion High School, where, for a while, it looked like Dominion had the Mustangs’ number. Mason, who put up 35 goals in two games against Park View and Freedom, only scored two goals in the entire first half.

Senior goalie Ewan Oglethorpe may well have saved the game for the Mustangs, coming up with unbelievable saves, especially in the contests' final minutes. In the second half, the Mustangs came out firing, overwhelming the Titans and scoring seven goals. The Mustangs ultimately escaped Dominion in a squeaker, 9-8, improving their undefeated record to 6-0 on the season.

Mason welcomes Heritage High School to their field tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 p.m., as they attempt to surpass last season’s win total in just the Mustangs' seventh game of the season.
