Your Community PhoneBook is soliciting advertisers for its 2008/2009 Falls Church edition which also covers Seven Corners, Bailey’s Crossroads, Lake Barcroft and Pimmit Hills. The phone book, commonly referred to as “the red book”, includes maps, a street guide, commuter services, stadium, theaters and performing arts, parks and recreation, and places of interest as well as coupons, yellow pages, and business and residential white pages. It is distributed to approximately 51,000 homes and businesses in the area. The deadline for purchasing advertising is Wednesday, February 13. UpClick Marketing, a search engine marketing and online social marketing firm, is launching a search for local businesses willing to participate in W2DotZero, a unique Web 2.0 social marketing program. The Falls Church Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 2008 Awards Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 8 at the Clarendon Ballroom. Pearson Square LLC sold Pearson Square, the luxury apartment building located at 410 S. Maple Avenue in Falls Church to Transwestern Investment Co. and its affiliate, Transwestern Multifamily Partners, for $100.8 million. The recently completed property, which was developed by Atlantic Realty Companies, includes 19,000 square feet of retail space, 230 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, underground parking, a fitness center, a pool and a club room.
