Jody’s Jam of The Week

DC Spa Week, October 15 – 21, Maryland and Virginia Day Spas

Alright, this one is for you ladies (and a select few men) who’ve always wanted to indulge in the day spa world but haven’t had the bank to do so. Starting Monday, all next week is DC Spa Week where 20 D.C., Virginia and Maryland day spas offer up a deals on treatments at $50 a pop. What began in 2004 in an effort to encourage the benefits of a “spa lifestyle,” Spa Week seeks to get first-timers through the door and into a healthy new regimen. Hmmm, spend three days a week at the gym, huffing, puffing and grunting away, or, kick back with some hot rocks on your eyes, Enya on the radio, all the while getting rubbed, stroked and pumiced to your heart’s content? Sounds like an easy decision to me. (Well, all but the Enya.) Participating spas include area Red Door Spa locations, Modern Day Spa, Le Papillon Day Resort, Reflections of You and more. Check the web site for a complete list of all locations.
