Off Track:

Local rockers Honor By August are stepping off of the stage and in front of the camera, shooting a music video for their track “Into the Light” off of the reissued album Drowning Out the Television.

The video, which features a storyline cut between performance footage from local venues IOTA Club and Cafe and Jammin’ Java, will likely be available in a month or two on the band’s websites (honorbyaugust.com and myspace.com/honorbyaugust).

“It was nuts,” guitarist Evan Field said of the most recent shoot, Saturday at Jammin’ Java. “We rented out a full on arena hazer for the shoot. I’ve never seen as much haze in a club that size.”

Clayton Winchester, a New York City photographer, is doing the directing.

“He’s completely crazy, in an artistic genius kind of way,” Field says.
