Baseball Day at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Saturday, July 7, Noon to 2 p.m.

Wow! Meet players from the Washington Nationals as they recite “Casey at the Bat” and hob nob with fans at this free event, a collaboration between the American Art Museum, the National Portrait Gallery and the Nationals Baseball Team. This is a kind-of “only in Washington, D.C.” opportunity. Kids can enjoy a baseball card workshop and baseball-themed scavenger hunt. Art on display will include Morris Kantor’s 1934 “Baseball at Night” and more. This special event will be held in the Reynolds Center at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, 8th and F Streets NW, right by the Verizon Center. The museum is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
