Mozart’s Mass in C Minor, performed by Falls Church’s Choralis, Falls Church-Anglican sanctuary, 115 E. Fairfax St., Friday, June 29, 8 p.m.

If you haven’t taken the opportunity to check out this talented local chorus at any of their area performances previously, there could be no better occasion than its performance this Friday of one of the great choral works of all time, Mozart’s incomparable Mass in C Minor. Written while on his death bed, this composition is an incredible outpouring of defiance and courage combined with tenderness, compassion and love of humanity that puts the lie to any notion that Mozart was insensitive and immature, but just happened to be a musical genius. The director’s insights into the program will be presented at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Choralis website at www.choralis.org.
