Fudgie the Whale’s 30th Birthday Party, April 23-27 at Carvel Ice Cream Stores
In case you don’t have it on your calendar, it’s Fudgie the Whale’s 30th birthday next week. Who is Fudgie? He’s only the world’s most famous ice-cream cake mammal, that’s who (Cookie Puss’ fame is up there too, but I have no idea what type of creature he is). And just like in elementary school, it’s someone else’s birthday, but YOU get the treats. Starting Monday, Carvel stores will be offering “buy-one-get-one-free” deals that run through the week. On Monday, it’s cones, Tuesday, it’s shakes. Wednesday gets you sundaes while Thursday’s deal is novelties. Capping off the week, Friday is “Fudgie Friday,” where it’s buy one get one free on any item in the store. In addition, Carvel will be donating $10,000 to Ocean Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of whales and their ocean environment through research and education initiatives.
