Jody’s Jam of the Week

Washington Nationals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks, April 5 – 8 at RFK Stadium

Washington NationalsWe caught a glimpse of summer early this week as temperatures neared 80, letting us shed some layers, however, as the week wore on, we were forced to break out the long sleeves once again. While the mercury will be hovering around an unsummer-like 50 this weekend, it’s no excuse to miss the Nationals’ first weekend homestand of the season. Not to mention the fact that they need all the support they can get. After losing their one marquee player/main attraction to free agency in the offseason, the Nats aren’t projected to finish near the top. And, unfortunately, they’re not projected to finish in the middle either. Regardless, it’s your duty to welcome the Nats to the 2007 season, and this weekend, when they play the Arizona Diamondbacks, is the perfect opportunity to do so— it’ll probably be the closest the boys will be to first place all season.
