Falls Church resident Catherine Baumer won an “Ultimate Tailgate Package”, the second place prize in PNC Bank’s Ultimate Big Game Getaway sweepstakes. The City of Falls Church has long experienced commercial parking challenges which in many cased negatively impact its business community. While the problems are ongoing, practical resolutions have been difficult to determine. Business owners, customers and potential customers are being invited to share both short and long term suggestions for resolving Falls Church City parking issues. Input will be provided to the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce and Falls Church City officials for review.

Creative Cauldron is inviting business leaders and employees to attend its Community ‘Cauldron’ Night on Saturday, February 10th from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at 111 Park Avenue in Falls Church. Technology Companies in Northern Virginia are hosting Groundhog Job Shadow Day for local students on Friday, February 2, 2007. The Northern Virginia Technology Council, the National Job Shadow Coalition and Fairfax County Public Schools are pairing students with businesses in Northern Virginia to expose youth to the high-tech workplace with the goal of inspiring new academic and career choices and promoting entrepreneurialism in participating students. More than 150 middle and high school students and 30 local businesses are participating in this nationwide event led by the National Job Shadow Coalition, which consists of America‘s Promise, Junior Achievement, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Education, and in Northern Virginia by Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area.
