Clay Café Studios is hosting its 6th Annual Family Fundraiser to benefit the Falls Church Winter Emergency Homeless Shelter from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2006. The event is co-sponsored by Kendall’s Cakes and the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are available at Clay Café (101 N. Maple) for $25 per person in advance or $30 at the door. Refreshments, door prizes and the opportunity to paint an ornament, plate, bowl or mug just in time for the holidays are all part of this fun-filled event. As part of Falls Church Arts’ Gallery Without Walls program, six City businesses and organizations are exhibiting artwork created by local artists. First Horizon Bank (133 S. Washington Street) is showing wildlife and nature photographs by Bob Morrison while Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust (225 W. Broad Street) displays images of outdoor locales by Bob Witt. The Falls Church Housing Corporation (330B South Virginia Avenue) is exhibiting paintings by Barbara Perris, F.A. McGonegal Kitchen (212 N. West Street) is displaying ceramics and pottery by Phil and Marianne Kokkoros, Capital Area Pediatrics (Suite 100 at 407 N. Washington Street) is showing artwork created by Falls Church students and Koons Ford (1051 East Broad Street) has photography on display by Russell Anderson. Acting Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields will be the featured speaker at the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce’s November Networking Luncheon. Shields will share news of some of the exciting new development projects in the City of Falls Church and his vision for our community.
