Water Main Repairs Complete at Route 7 and Patrick Henry Drive

FALLS CHURCH, VA. – Repairs have been completed to the 6-inch cast iron water main break that occurred on eastbound Route 7 at Patrick Henry Drive in Fairfax County on Nov. 1, 2006.  Eastbound lanes of Route 7 near Patrick Henry Drive have reopened to traffic.

Normal water pressure has been restored to customers affected by the break.  Customers may experience air in their lines.  This is normal after water service is restored following a break.  The tiny air bubbles cause the water to appear milky, cloudy, or slightly discolored.  Customers should run cold water through their faucets until the water is clear and flows smoothly.
