Arlington Sage Prevail in 10U Fast Pitch Tourney

The Arlington Sage 10U Girls Softball team swept through the single elimination round by a combined score of 29-2 to win the NSA Mid-Summer Challenge in Glen Burnie, MD on July 22-23.

The Arlington Sage 10U Girls Softball team swept through the single elimination round by a combined score of 29-2 to win the NSA Mid-Summer Challenge in Glen Burnie, MD on July 22-23.

Taylor Leonard and Lillian Prins each pitched a shutout in a pair of 10-0 wins over the Howard County Liberty and the Sterling Spirit.  The Sage then defeated the Mt. Vernon Magic 9-2 in the Championship Game.  The Sage broke open a 3-2 game on the hitting of Vivian Angrisani, Katie Kaufman, Ashley Parker, Jenny Peel and Eileen Breslin, and the defense was nearly flawless, converting 19 of 20 chances for put-outs, with Emily Boda and Hannah Morris making big plays.  

The 10U Sage is coached by Lou Mauro, Chris Angrisani and Doug Kaufman.  Arlington Sage is a summer All Star team made up of players from the Arlington Girls Softball Association.
