Steve Cornejo’s Dad Laments Morrogh Closing Investigation

The father of the slain Steve Cornejo told the News-Press yesterday that he was disappointed, but not surprised to learn that Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Raymond Morrogh wrote to Falls Church Mayor Robin Gardner this month that he would take no further action to bring Cornejo’s killer to justice.

Going into next Tuesday’s Virginia statewide elections, both candidates running to fill the shoes of retiring Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Robert Horan have said publicly that they will revisit a criminal investigation into the June 2005 shooting death of Falls Church city native Jack Stephen “Steve” Cornejo.
