MAJORS Although the season is young, there has been a dramatic display of power hitting. Fence-clearing home runs have been hit by: Kekoa Yamaguchi, Cubs; Mitch MacKeith, Orioles; Alec Daniele, A’s; John Todd and Liam Glennon, Yankees; and Richard Marsh and Lucas Cherry, Red Sox.

Falls Church Kiwanis Little League Report In spite of some cool weather that forced the postponement of opening day ceremonies until April 21, the more than 400 members of the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League started their season and completed all of the scheduled games last Saturday.




Mason High Edges FCHS, 3-1
The highly anticipated pitchers’ duel between Falls Church and George Mason High Schools, with FCHS ace David Acosta and GMHS stud starter Byron Mendenhall combining for 20 strikeouts in the game. In the end, the Mustangs prevailed 3-1 in both teams’ return to action following spring break.
