WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced $18,707,787 in federal funding for improvements to airports across Virginia. “Virginia’s airports help travelers get where they need to go and serve as critical economic development hubs by connecting us to the larger economy,” said the senators. “This funding will make important infrastructure upgrades and improve operations at airports across Virginia. We will keep working to rebuild Virginia’s infrastructure and grow our economy.”

The funding will be allocated as follows:

Warner and Kaine have long supported efforts to improve Virginia’s airports for travelers. In 2021, Warner and Kaine helped pass the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, through which they have secured millions in airport funding for 45 Virginia airports so far.
