George Mason High School’s girls lacrosse team has a solid 4-2 record as it nears the middle of its season, with a two-week string of four consecutive wins and a total point differential of 69-15. The Mustangs 16-5 win at home Monday night against McLean High School showcased their strong defense and relentless offensive attack against higher classified competition.

Last week’s games against Culpeper High School and Eastern View High School both produced impressive shut-outs, with freshman Abbey Meighan (bottom picture) hanging tough in goal. The winning streak started with a 16-10 win over Stone Bridge High School on March 19. Midfielders and attackers including senior Alex Biggs, sophomore Ashley Zigler and freshmen Bella Paradiso (top picture) along with Annie Moore have produced consistent scoring in each game, with senior Maddie Mohler and others anchoring the defense.
