Dancing Mind, Crossfit 929 Close Down Businesses

Dancing Mind Yoga and Crossfit 929, which are both located at 929 West Broad St., announced both will no longer be open for business due to a lack of funds earlier this afternoon.

Word of the closing was initially discussed on Dancing Mind and Crossfit 929’s respective social media pages when it was announced all classes would be cancelled for Wednesday, March 27. The announcement was followed by another stating there would be a town hall meeting set to take place at the establishment’s location tonight at 7:30 p.m.

However, around 4 p.m. this afternoon a message was sent from Dancing Mind’s email account to its customers notifying that it had cancelled the town hall meeting and offered an explanation about the closing. Both social media accounts have been subsequently deleted.

The message can be read in full below.

“Tonight’s Meeting is Cancelled. All classes are canceled.

Dear Dancing Mind Community,

We will not be hosting the town hall meeting tonight.

Many of you are looking for an explanation.

Dancing Mind and CrossFit 929 are out of funds to keep operating as a business. Several attempts to keep our doors open were made and denied. Our finances are depleted and DMY and CF929 will not be re-opening for business.

If we keep our doors open we will not be able to pay our teachers, our staff, and our rent. At the end closing the business is the right and kinder choice for everyone.

This is a sad day for us all and we are all very very sorry.”
