End of Month Events at One More Page Books

Two upcoming events will be taking place at local independent bookstore One More Page Books (2200 N. Westmoreland St., Arlington) this week.

On Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. — One More Page welcomes back beloved mystery writer and highly decorated member of the Metropolitan Police Department David Swinson in celebration of his latest detective thriller, “Trigger.” Swinson will be in conversation with Bill Beverly, author of “Dodgers,” a dark coming-of-age journey that recalls the best of Richard Price, Denis Johnson and J.D. Salinger. In the police drama “Trigger,” Frank Marr, a once-good cop who’s hit rock bottom and recovering from addiction, is drawn back into the world of dirty cops and suspicious drug busts when an old friend needs Frank’s help to prove his innocence.

On Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. — One More Page welcomes debut author M. K. England to discuss her Young Adult sci-fi adventure, “The Disasters.” “The Breakfast Club” meets “Guardians of the Galaxy” when hotshot pilot Nax Hall is framed for a terrorist attack on the elite Ellis Station Academy, from which he’s just been expelled. Full of high-stakes action, subversive humor and underdogs-turned-heroes, this is a page-turning thrill ride that anyone can enjoy.
