F.C. Resident to Receive English Literacy Scholarship

Falls Church resident Faustine Coulibaly will receive the inaugural Patricia M. Donnelly Merit Scholarship during the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia’s (LCNV) 2018 Annual Recognition Ceremony. Coulibaly, a recent immigrant, has shown dedication to learning English with LCNV and exemplifies commitment, perseverance, achievement, and leadership. A native of Côte d’Ivoire, Coulibaly is a French speaker and an accountant.

The scholarship is named in honor of Patricia M. Donnelly, LCNV’s former Executive Director, and is awarded to an outstanding beginning-level LCNV learner whose dedication to literacy inspires the LCNV community. Recipients are given free tuition for up to six semesters of English classes with LCNV. This event will occur on June 21 at 7 p.m. at the James Lee Community Center Theater (2855 Annandale Rd., Falls Church).
