Todd Hitt Named Arts Philanthropist of Year

Falls Church developer Todd Hitt has been named the 2017 Arts Philanthropist of the Year by the Arts Council of Fairfax County. According to the Arts Council, the award acknowledges private sector support of the arts by honoring an individual, corporation, or foundation that has provided leadership funding or long-term monetary support to an arts organization or arts program in the Fairfax community.

It states that, “born and raised in Northern Virginia, Hitt is committed to enhancing the economic and cultural vibrancy of the region in which he was raised,” adding that after 25 years in commercial construction, he opened his company, Kiddar Capital in 2007 in Falls Church. Continuing on, the Arts Council also stated that Hitt is a believer in supporting and promoting local arts and humanities, represented by significant donations to the Falls Church Education Foundation and leading development projects for the Creative Cauldron’s new home and an outdoor cinema. “His commitment to the arts is clear, intentional, and infectious.”

Hitt will be honored at a awards ceremony on Friday, Oct. 20, at noon at the Fairview Marriott.
