Crime Report: Handgun Stolen from Vehicle During String of Break-Ins

Vehicle break-ins have returned to the City of Falls Church with a string of break-ins reported last week according to the latest crime report. Police report items being stolen from three cars last Thursday, Oct. 6, including one instance where a handgun was taken from a vehicle on Oak St. Other items stolen include a laptop and an iPod plus a vehicle was stolen from W. George Mason Rd.

In other crime, a person was reported robbed by gunpoint from a transportation network company driver on Oak St., a patron was assaulted at Clare & Don’s Beach Shack and a person was assaulted by an acquaintance at Good Fortune in Eden Center.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: October 3 – 9, 2016

Larceny from Building, 7124 Leesburg Pike (George Mason High School). On Oct. 3, an unattended bag was reported stolen sometime on Sep. 30.

Aggravated Assault, 6751 Wilson Blvd. (Good Fortune) On Oct. 3, police received a report that an assault occurred by an acquaintance. The victim received treatment of injuries at the hospital.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (H20 Café) On Oct. 5, a male, 38, of Adelphi, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Armed Robbery, 200 block N. Oak St. On Oct. 5, police received a report that a victim was robbed with a displayed gun by a transportation network company driver.

Larceny from Vehicle 1100 block Seaton Ln. On Oct. 6, an unknown suspect stole a handgun from a vehicle sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 400 block W. Rosemary Ln. On Oct. 6, a unknown suspect stole an iPod from a vehicle sometime overnight.

Stolen Vehicle, 200 block W. George Mason Rd. On Oct. 6, an unsecure vehicle was stolen from a residence sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block George Mason Rd. On Oct. 6, an unknown suspect stole a laptop from the victim’s vehicle.

Trespass, 301 W. Broad St. On Oct. 7, a male, 67, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Assault, 130 N. Washington St. (Clare & Don’s Beach Shack) On Oct. 7, a patron was assaulted. There were no injuries.

Smoking Violation, 6763 Wilson Blvd. #9 (Café Tian) On Oct. 8, a male, 61, of Alexandria, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area. A male, 39, of Burke, was cited for Permitting Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Shoplifting, 134 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Oct. 9, police received a report of shoplifting of facial products.
