Mary Riley Styles Public Library Hosts Mrs. B

Mary Riley Styles Public Library is hosting Mrs. B and her honeybees for its next Early Release Wednesdays on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 3 – 4 p.m. at 120 N. Virginia Avenue. in the library’s Youth Services room.

Ms. B is dedicated to educating children and adults about the value we must place on bees and protecting their habitat. Through small and large group demonstrations, Ms. B teaches about the bee life cycle, habitat, and adaptations. She explains why bees are so important to human life, what we must do to help bees thrive and why to respect and not fear them.

Her hands on science lessons empower students with knowledge and ideas to save the bees. The event is for children in grades 1 – 5. Registration is required and participation is limited to 15 children.

Children must be present at 3 p.m. to enter the room. At 3:05 p.m., spaces will be given to children who are on the wait list. For more information, call 703-248-5034 or email juv@fallschurchva.gov.
