F.C. Native, Musician Jeff Denson Returns to the Area

Falls Church native Jeff Denson, who is a bassist, composer and vocalist, is returning to the Washington, D.C. area for a pair of shows. He will be performing at An Die Musik, located at 409 N. Charles St., Baltimore, on Thursday, Aug. 4 and will be performing on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, located at 1333 H St., Washington, D.C.

Denson was born in Arlington and studied at Virginia Commonwealth University. Later he earned a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where he formed the band Minsarah with fellow students German pianist Florian Weber and Israeli drummer Ziv Ravitz. The trio’s relationship with jazz great Lee Konitz began when Konitz first heard them in Germany in 2006.
