Tinner Hill Blues Festival Scheduled for June 11

The 23rd Annual Tinner Hill Blues Festival will be held from Friday, June 10 – Sunday, June 12 all around Falls Church with the main event taking place Saturday, June 11 from 1 – 9:30 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park at 312 Park Avenue. Gates for the Saturday portion of the festival open at noon.

On Friday, June 10, The Blues in Paris, a juried art show hosted at Art and Frame of Falls Church at 205 W. Jefferson Street, will be on display. The State Theatre will have a Blues & Soul Divas show starting at 8 p.m. that features Mable John, Trudy Lynn and Gaye Adegbalola with the Wild Rutz.

The lineup of performers for Saturday portion of the festival includes Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues, The Andy Poxon Band, Charlie Sayles & The Blues Disciples featuring Tony Fazio, Carly Harvey with Kiss & Ride, Mike Terpak Blues Explosion and Victor Wainwright & The WildRoots.

There will also be craft beer, BBQ, vendors, film screenings, discussions and kids programs at the Saturday portion of the festival. On Sunday, June 12, there will be a free Old-Fashion Blues Gospel Concert & Picnic from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Tinner Hill Historic Site at 108 Tinner Hill Street.
