One-Man Band Plays at Mary Riley Styles Public Library

Peter McCory, a one-man band, will play a concert for children and their parents at Mary Riley Styles Public Library at 120 N. Virginia Avenue on Saturday, April 16 from 11  11:45 a.m. Children who attend the concert will sing, jump, stomp, dance and play hand instruments with McCory, who the library calls a “master of multitasking.” No registration is required for this event.

In other library-related news, there will be a Teen Poetry Slam and Contest Award event at the library on Wednesday, April 27 from 7 – 8 p.m. Awards will be given to teens in two different categories who participated in the Teen Poetry Contest and all teens will be allowed to read their poems aloud.
