McLean Community Center Board Holds Public Hearing

The McLean Community Center’s 11-member governing board is inviting residents of the center’s special tax district, Small District 1A-Dranesville, to share their thoughts on Center programs and services at a Public Hearing on Programs to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 at the center, located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean.

The regular monthly meeting of the governing board will follow the hearing. These meetings were originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 23. Residents of the Center’s tax district who attend the meeting can voice their opinions on current Center offerings and make suggestions for improving current programs or adding new initiatives.

The hearing is one step in planning for the FY 2018 budget cycle, which begins July 1, 2017. FY 2018 programs may be offsite, as the Center’s main facility is scheduled to be renovated during that budget year.

Residents who would like to speak at the hearing may call the Center at 703-790-0123, TTY: 711, to have their names placed on the speakers’ list so that a schedule may be established. Residents may submit written comments by mail, fax at 703-556-0547, email at george.sachs@fairfaxcounty.gov or in person up to seven days after the hearing.
