Sustainable Yard Workshop Slated for February 20

The Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia will present a program on Designing a Sustainable, Manageable Yard on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Fairlington Community Center, located at 3308 S. Stafford St., Arlington.

The program will focus on the best management practices of sustainable landscapes – using native plants, making the most of available water, building soil health and reducing maintenance. Master Gardeners will also answer questions about individual garden management challenges.

The program is free and open to the public, but organizers request that attendees register in advance. For more information or to register, visit mgnv.org or call 703-228-6414.
