F.C. Woman’s Son Killed in Afghanistan Suicide Bombing

Staff Sgt. Peter Taub, son of Falls Church resident Arlene Wagner, was among six U.S. soldiers killed this week by a suicide bomber in Bagram, Afghanistan. Ms. Wagner and another son, brother of Peter Taub, are co-owners of the popular Bub and Pop’s sandwich shop in Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. Wagner announced the eatery closed for the remainder of this week.

Receiving a visit from Food Network star Guy Fieri in October, the establishment is slated to re-open next Monday, according to a post on Borderstan.com.
