F.C. Police Found Dog Involved in Saturday Biting Incident

UPDATE: The dog from Saturday’s dog biting incident has been found and is in quarantine. The victim will not need to undergo rabies vaccinations. In a press release updating the City’s previous report, the Falls Church City Police Department thanked the community for their help.

The City of Falls Church Police Department’s Animal Control Division is seeking information about a dog bite incident on Saturday, Oct. 17 at around 11:40 a.m., the City announced in a press release this morning.

According to the City’s press release, the incident took place on the second floor of the Northgate complex at 450 N. Washington Street. The victim, a young male, sustained an injury to his knee when he became entangled in the dog’s leash. He may have to undergo rabies inoculations if the dog is not located.

The dog was described as a black dog with white spots on its head and body. The dog was on a leash being walked by a white female, possibly in her sixties, with gray hair wearing a red top and blue jeans. The City asked in the press release that anyone with information about the dog or the incident immediately contact The City’s Animal Control Division at 703-248-5053.
