BalletNova Global Dance Showcase Slated for Oct. 17

BalletNova announced its second annual Global Dance Showcase, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m., recently in a press release. The showcase will be staged at Fredgren Studio Theatre and will feature four ethnic dance companies from around the region.

With support from the Arts Council of Fairfax County’s Global Arts Initiative, BalletNova is showcasing this diversity through the medium of dance. The featured dance companies are Furia Flamenca, a Spanish flamenco dance company, Nomad Dancers, a collective inspired by dance traditions of Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, India and Turkey, Four Seasons Dance Group, presenting dances from Armenia and Russia and Jayantika Dance Company, specializing in Odissi dance from India.

Tickets for the showcase $15 for general admission and $12 for students and adults 60 and older. For more information, visit BalletNova.org.
