On the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 8 a faulty smoke sensor was the cause of the arrival of fire trucks at Mt. Daniel Elementary School along with arrival of parents and students on the first day of school in the City of Falls Church. Arlington County fire fighters determined that it was a false indicator and reset the alarm. Within ten minutes the fire fighters were back in their trucks and were heading back down Oak Street as students and parents continued to arrive to the school.
