Post 130 Holds Another Lizzie Borden Axe Throwing Contest

Falls Church American Legion Post 130 is holding another Lizzie Borden Axe Throwing Contest this Saturday, Aug. 29. Post 130 held its 5th Annual Lizzie Borden Axe Throwing Contest in early August, but are having another contest only a few weeks later due to popular demand.

The event is open to the public and registration is $15 without a commemorative t-shirt and $25 with a commemorative t-shirt. There will be non-cash prizes for the winners. Registration is at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at 12:30 p.m.

The rain date for the contest is Sunday, Aug. 30. Post 130 will also have Lizzie Borden glasses and t-shirts for sale. For more information, visit post130.org or call 703-533-1945.
