Registration Opens for 11th Annual Run for the Schools

Registration is open for the Falls Church Education Foundation’s 11th Annual Run for the Schools 5K /1 mile, which is slated for Sunday, Sept. 20 with a start time of 8 a.m. at Cherry Hill Park.

The event, a fundraiser for the Falls Church Education Foundation, typically attracts Falls Church City’s community and business  leaders and politicians – George Mason High School principal Tyrone Byrd and Falls Church City Mayor David Tarter were among the runners last year.

The cost of registration for the Run for the Schools is $35. The cost is $15 for the Under 18 1 mile run and the Under 18 5K. In the ten years since the Falls Church Education Foundation started the annual Run for the Schools event, it has raised over $10,000 through the fundraiser.
