Mt. Vernon Genealogical Society Hosts Petranek

The Mount Vernon Genealogical Society is hosting Carol Petranek, who will be giving a talk called “The Treasure Chest Known As FamilySearch,” at the club’s next monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 16, from 1 – 3 p.m. Petranek will focus on the wealth of information, images of documents, online classes, and other features FamilySearch offers free of charge to family history buffs.

The meeting is free and open to the public and will be held in room 112 of the Hollin Hall Senior Center, located at 1500 Shenandoah Road, Alexandria.  For more information, visit mvgenealogy.org or call 703-768-4101.
