Falls Church Arts opened its new Abstract Art Show last Thursday, Jan. 8, at Falls Church ArtSpace with an artists’ reception. Seventeen artists showcased their work, which varied from encaustic, acrylics, oils and a wide variety of styles.
The local arts organization is also accepting submissions for its upcoming Green Art Show. The show is open to all artists.
“Green is considered the most important color – green pigment transforms the air that we breathe and is the color of new, of envy and of money,” said the local arts organization in a press release about the show. “Green has quite a history in terms of its meanings and now is the word for eco-friendly production, projects and policies.”
The digital entry form for the Green Art Show is due next Monday, Jan. 19. For more information, visit fallschurcharts.org.
