Crime Report: Alcohol & Larcenies Highlight the Holiday Week

Larceny and drinking crimes filled the holiday week according to the latest City of Falls Church Crime Report. Police report an iPhone stolen from a customer at BJ’s on Christmas Eve, a purse was taken from a vehicle at Planet Fitness on Dec. 23 and a 40-year old Rockville man was arrested for shoplifting from Giant.

On the alcohol front, there were two DUIs – one on Christmas Day and another on Dec. 27 – and three people were arrested for public drunkenness.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: December 22 – 28, 2014

Larceny from Building, 6763 Wilson Blvd. #R1 (Planet Fitness) On Dec. 23, a purse was reported stolen from a vehicle.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Dec. 24, a male, 57, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Larceny from Building, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On Dec.24, police received a report that an iPhone was stolen from a customer.

Shoplifting, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On Dec. 24, a male, of Rockville, was arrested for Shoplifting.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On Dec. 24, a male, 40, of Bristow, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block Hillwood Ave. On Dec. 25, a traffic stop was conducted for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 29, of Alexandria, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Public Drunkenness, West End Park – W&OD Trail On Dec. 25, a male, 21, of Falls Church; and a male, 31, were arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Dec. 26, a male, 36, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Broad St. On Dec. 27, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 25, of Reston, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
