The Ballet Arts Ensemble of Fairfax is presenting Nutcracker in a Nutshell this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13, at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall at Northern Virginia Community College’s Alexandria campus, located at 3001 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria.
A condensed version of the holiday classic will be performed at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. It will be the 22 season Choreographed by Debra Savage, Nutcracker in a Nutshell features dancers from The Ballet Arts Ensemble of Fairfax and scores of young children from the Fairfax dance school Center for the Ballet Arts.
Tickets for each performance are $25 in advance and can be ordered at thecenterfortheballetarts.com or by calling 703-273-5344. Tickets will also be on sale at the door.
