Four retired military generals and admirals from Fairfax County visited the Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center on Monday, Nov. 24, to read to the children and learn more about the center, which is one of the highest rated early childhood centers in the region (see photo below.)

The retired military leaders – Lawrence Gillespie, Brigadier General, U.S. Army, Kenneth Moritsugu; Rear Admiral, U.S. Public Health Service; Wilma Vaught, Brigadier General, U.S. Air Force; and Ron Beckwith, Major General, U.S. Marine Corps – are members of Mission: Readiness.

Mission: Readiness is a nonpartisan national security organization of over 500 retired generals and admirals calling for smart investments in America’s children to ensure the country’s future national security.
