F.C. Man Honored at NVCC Board Appreciation Dinner

Falls Church City resident Dr. Jerome Barrett was honored at Northern Virginia Community College’s board of trustees’ appreciation dinner last Saturday, Nov. 8, in Woodbridge.

Barrett, who represented Falls Church City on Northern Virginia Community College’s board of trustees for eight years before retiring on June 30, was presented with the Distinguished Service Award.

He was one of several past board members in attendance at the appreciation dinner who were thanked for their service. Jeff Talbert and Tom Smolinski, two others who have represented Falls Church City on the board of trustees in the past, were also in attendance at Saturday’s event.
