Annual Chrysanthemum Show Set for this Weekend

The Old Dominion Chrysanthemum Society will be hosting their annual Chrysanthemum show at Merrifield Gardens this Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2 – 5 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The show will feature hundreds of cut mum cultivars as well as mums in hanging baskets, container grown varieties and sprays.

There will also be bonsai and fukusuke exhibits and a special standard and mini-sized design competition based on this year’s special theme “100 Years Ago.”

The show is free and will be open to visitors at the Merrifield Gardens Fair Oaks location at 12101 Lee Hwy., Fairfax. For more information or to sign up for door prizes, call Jim Dunne at 703-560-8776.
