Jody’s Jam of the Week: Northern Virginia Fall BrewFest

novabrewfest2014If you’re feeling thirsty this weekend, strap on your drinking shoes and head on down to Centerville as more than 50 breweries are gathering for the 8th annual Northern Virginia Fall BrewFest. The festival will feature a lineup of seasonal craft brews, both local and national, including creations from The Beer Joint in Leesburg and Falls Church’s own Mad Fox Brewing Company.

Also on tap, cooking with beer demonstrations featuring special recipes including chili, beer caramel corn, double platinum roasted squash with curry soup, beer-brined ribs and a beer and cheese risotto, called beersotto, natch. If you’re handy with the bean bags, there will also be a cornhole tournament.

Early tickets are $25 ($35 at the gate) and are good for a commemorative beer tasting glass and six tasting tickets. a $10 designated driver tickets will also be available.

When: Saturday, October 18 – Sunday, October 19, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
