Library Board to Revisit Consultants

Falls Church’s Mary Riley Styles Public Library’s head librarian Mary McMann told the F.C. City Council Monday that the Library Board has decided to call back the consultants it contracted earlier to examine how, rather than expanding the space, the library site may be made more efficient in its current configuration. They will also be tasked with proposing what an adjacent parking deck might look like.

Bradley Gernand of the Library Board reported that 1,400 children participated in the library’s summer reading program and that 461,000 items were borrowed in the last year. He said that 10,700 of the City’s 13,300 residents have library cards.
