
Five historic buildings located in the Little City will be featured on The Victorian Society’s Historic Falls Church Tour on Sept. 20.
The five buildings that will be featured on the tour are The Falls Church, built in 1799, Cherry Hill Farmhouse, built in 1845, Mt. Hope, built in 1830/1870, the DePutron House, built in 1893, and the Henderson House, built in 1910.
Costumed tour guides will be at each house to provide information about the property, the people who lived there and the role they played in the history of the Little City.
Forty-five minute guided tours of The Falls Church will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., with the last tour starting at 1:15 p.m., and a special exhibit of antique clothing will be on display at Mt. Hope. All other properties will be open from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $25 in advance and all proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Cherry Hill Farmhouse, The Victorian Society at Falls Church, the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, and The Falls Church Episcopal. For more information, visit victoriansocietyatfallschurch.com.
