Crime Report: Car Stolen Outside Mary Riley Styles Library

A week after an alleged bicycle thief was arrested, there were no reports of stolen bikes in the latest Falls Church Crime Report, however, a car was reported stolen from outside of Mary Riley Styles Library last week. Between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., police say the car was stolen from the parking lot outside the Falls Church library on the morning of Tuesday, August 12.

In other Crime Report news, a TV was lifted from the F.C. Community Center, a man was arrested for petit larceny at The State Theatre, there was a smash and grab from a car on S. Washington St. and a bracelet was taken from a customer at a building on West Broad Stt. Also, two men were arrested for trespassing at Eden Center, another was cited for smoking at the shopping center and two people skipped out on their tab at Applebee’s.

City of Falls Church Crime Report: August 11 – 17, 2014

Stolen Vehicle, 120 N. Virginia Ave. (Mary Stiles Public Library) On Aug. 12, a motor vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot sometime between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Larceny from Building, 223 Little Falls St. (Falls Church Community Center) On Aug. 12, a television was reported stolen.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 12, a male, 45, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 12, a male, 57, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Smoking Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On Aug. 13, a male, 39, of Falls Church, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 100 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 13, a car window was smashed and various coins were stolen from the vehicle.

Driving Under the Influence, 300 block Hillwood Ave. On Aug.16, a male, 40, of Rockville, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 600 block Hillwood Ave. On Aug.16, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 28, of Annandale, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Defrauding an Innkeeper, 127 E. Broad St. (Applebee’s) On Aug. 17, two customers left the store with no intent on paying for provided restaurant services.

Identity Theft, Public Drunkenness, and Urinating In Public, 6619 Wilson Blvd. (New Moon Restaurant) On Aug. 16, a male, 39, of Falls Church, was arrested for Identity Theft, Public Drunkenness, and Urinating In Public. Petit Larceny, 220 N. Washington St. (The State Theater) On Aug. 17, a male, 25, of Richmond, VA, was arrested and released on summons for Petit Larceny.

Narcotics Violation, 105 W. Broad St. (George Mason Square) On Aug. 17, a male, 26, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Larceny from Building, 1112-B W. Broad St. On Aug. 17, police were notified that a bracelet  was stolen from a customer.
