City of Falls Church to Screen Films at Sunset Cinema

The City of Falls Church will screen family-friendly films every Friday during the month of August at their Sunset Cinema in the Park events. The film series kicks-off on Friday, Aug. 15 with a showing of the 2014 blockbuster hit The Lego Movie.

It’s voters choice on Aug. 22 — moviegoers will be able to choose between three films: The Karate Kid, Mighty Ducks and Back to the Future. On Aug. 29, the Little City will show the Academy Award-winning 2013 blockbuster Frozen.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase and moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. Sunset Cinema in the Park will be held at 312 Park Ave., Falls Church, every Friday in late August and September at 8:15 p.m.

In case of inclement weather, screenings will take place at the Falls Church Community Center, which is located at 223 Little Falls St., Falls Church. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/sunsetcinema.
